"Unexpected Error" when creating Wireless LAN
Hi! When I'm trying to use the "Manually connect to a wireless network"-function, I always encounter the text "Unexpected error", which just gets displayed after I entered the network information (SSID, Security and stuff) and clicked next. I'm using the x64 version. Is there any workaround known?

I'm having the same issue. But with the x32 version. It originally worked when I just upgraded to W7, but I recently opted for a clean install and now it doesn't work.Any help?

I would look for a 'roll back driver' option, or try the drivers you had installed with the old system.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP

I am having the exact same issue on a Window 7 Enterprise install for a Dell E6400 with Intel 5100 AGN wireless card. This is for a coporate image to be used on multiple machine types. The really strange thing isthat the utility works fine on a pre-sysprep'd machine but not after. Also, both before and after sysprep machies are using the same driver and there are no errors or missing hardware in Device Manager. I have tried updating to the newest Dell and Intel drivers as well but adding a wireless profile simply will not work. Any advice is greatly appreciated. If I wasn't follicularly challenged already, this would do it....
